Of course you know Ira Glass as “Mr. This American Life,” the Edward R. Murrow-award winning NPR radio program he created in 1995, but did you know that Glass, now 53, has been an NPR reporter since he was 19? In addition to walking the beat for and hosting public radio staples Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation, Glass also made satirist David Sedaris’ career happen by putting him on the air.
