Reinventing Radio: An Evening with Ira Glass

Of course you know Ira Glass as “Mr. This American Life,” the Edward R. Murrow-award winning NPR radio program he created in 1995, but did you know that Glass, now 53, has been an NPR reporter since he was 19? In addition to walking the beat for and hosting public radio staples Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Talk of the Nation, Glass also made satirist David Sedaris’ career happen by putting him on the air. A ground-breaking visionary, Glass has a unique perspective on the audio box (that thing currently going extinct because most Millennials don’t even own radios), so come listen to this genius story-teller’s take on the future of a medium where words are king (hence, it’s eventual demise).
