Unlike what the band’s name would suggest, the music of Railroad to Alaska is not like a cold, quiet trip to the tundra. Instead, think the fiery coal combustion that drives the train. Their shows offer energetic and audience-invading performances, all while dispensing thoughtful lyrics to captivated listeners. They further solidified their mainstay status in Orange County’s metal scene when they played their way to a nomination for Best Live Band at this year’s OC Music Awards. The band officially release their new EP, Salvation, on Saturday.
