Rabbits Beware

Few authors have written about California as affectionately as John Steinbeck. Of Mice and Men, one of Steinbeck's most celebrated works, exemplifies his particular fondness for California's laborers. The development of the unusual friendship between George and Lennie, two itinerant farm hands working in central California, propels Steinbeck's story through optimism and tragedy. Of Mice and Men premiered on Broadway in 1937, the same year the novel was published, and ran for over 200 performances. Now the story comes to the Long Beach Playhouse to move a new audience.
