Calling all queens! It’s time to bedazzle those stilettos and break out the push-up bras. This Sunday marks the grand opening of the Project Drag Race qualifying rounds, a weekly series of contests to find the fiercest ladies of drag. Winners go on to compete on the official Project Drag Race this fall (created by Raven and Shannel of RuPaul’s Drag Race), for a chance at cash and prizes. The contest is an open stage (complete with catwalk) for such entertainers—talents can range anywhere from singing and dancing to just being absolutely fucking fabulous. Dancing on the 3,000-square-foot dance floor starts immediately after the show, with music provided by Circus Disco’s DJ OZZ-E and gyrating hips provided by go-go dancers.
