Phantom of the Opera with Live Score
Lon Chaney is known as the Man of a Thousand Faces. For every role he played, Chaney did his own makeup and transformed himself into one iconic character after another: Quasimodo from 1923s Hunchback of Notre Dame ; the sharp-toothed Professor Burke from the infamous lost film London After Midnight , and a downright evil Fagin in one of the first adaptations of Oliver Twist . Though Chaney is perhaps best known as the titular anti-hero from 1925s silent masterpiece The Phantom of The Opera . Chaneys Phantom defies wordshes a monster whose face seems to decay before your very eyes, and of the 17 film adaptations, hes still the most terrifying. Its a performance not to be missedespecially when paired with a live score from Creative Artists Collective. Screening at midnight.
