There sure is a lot of celebrating going on at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts this week. As part of Pacific Standard Time, a collaboration of Southern California cultural organizations that spotlight LA art in the decades since WWII, the multi-Grammy-winning band Ozomatli has promised a free concert in the Center's outdoor Arts Plaza. Touted as "a tribute to the rich and diverse heritage of the Southern California music scene," Ozomatli's concert is just one of many free events scheduled for Segerstrom's 25th anniversary weekend—check out the website for a complete list of sans-cover happenings. But Ozo fans be warned. "Free" is also code for "tons of people are going," so head to Costa Mesa early, the organzation is permitting set-up beginning at 10 a.m.
