The members of Ozomatli met each other through the Peace and Justice Center of Los Angeles—and, fittingly, their very first performance together was for a group of protesters during a strike. Several studio albums and a Grammy later, they continue striving toward humanity and good will, raising money for various causes and even releasing OzoKidz, an album full of cheerful, educational childrens' songs about health, nature and sweetly juvenile social issues. So pack up the kids this Sunday afternoon and take them to the Coach House for a children's concert (seriously, how often can you do that?), or, hire a babysitter and head out for a very grown up evening show featuring the band's award-winning blend of Latin, rock, jazz and funk.
