'Night Must Fall'

Murder, bastard children, bitchy old women—Night Must Fall has it all. Written in 1935, this play from the U.K. follows the curious happenings at rich matriarch Mrs. Bramson’s countryside home. When the charming-yet-psychotic Danny worms his way into the house and heart of surly old Mrs. Bramson, it doesn’t take long to learn he’s more than just a pretty face. The surprise of the play is not who gets killed, but how well playwright Emlyn Williams explores the mind of a murderer and the magnetic effect that person has on the people around him.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: June 10. Continues through July 16, 2011
