Long Beach Writers Read

Imagine you’re sitting in Portfolio, the coolest coffee shop in the LBC, listening to espresso machines whistling like old train engines. You're here because you’re craving interaction with poets, writers, musicians—and stand amongst a group of your peers and discuss topics like whether or not James Franco can actually write. Well, local poets and burgeoning novelists, here's your opportunity at the Long Beach Writers Read. This session features Greggory Moore, who will be reading from his novel, The Use of Regret. It’s a story broken down into 100 tightly linked sections which explore the truths and fantasies of one’s mans journey through the memories of a life filled with regret. Can the protagonist break free from the lock of life’s choices? Find out as this Long Beach novelist reads from his new work while you sip on an orange mocha frappuccino! (Hey, there's always space for a Zoolander reference.)
