Long Beach Bayou Blues Festival

Come one and all to the best Cajun experience this side of the Mississippi River, only this weekend at the Long Beach Bayou Blues Festival. Throughout the day you'll be treated to zydeco dance lessons, cajun dance lessons, a Mardi Gras parade, and even a crawfish eating contest. And then of course, there's the bands: Over 11 artists are slated to perform today, from local jazz favorites Barbara Morrison, Al Williams and Shari Puorto to world-reknowned musicians Jeffery Broussard and The Creole Cowboys, Sunpie and The Louisian Sunspots and The San Diego Cajun Playboys; and while you could easily associate each group within the genre of blues music, each one delivers their own contemporary approach, melting other genres like zydeco, rock n' roll, gospel, jazz, and roots together. Bring the whole family and discover what makes the Long Beach Bayou Blues Festival a long-anticipated event every year.
