La Boheme

A choice selection of the standard Italian opera repertory, and one of the most frequently performed operas internationally, La Boheme comes to Orange County courtesy of the Pacific Symphony with Carl St.Clair, one of Europe's premiere orchestra conductors. Opera lovers won't dare miss this semi-staged production of Puccini's heart-wrenching tale of young Bohemian lovers in 1840's Paris, based on Henri Murger's Scenes de la Vie de Boheme—a collection of vignettes that, interestingly, had no common plot. More than a century after La Boheme's debut, the art, song and beauty of the bohemian golden age still captures audiences the world over.
