By now, everyone in Laguna Beach (and select parts of the OC) are aware of the rockin’ new radio station that took over Laguna’s beachy airwaves last fall, bringing a heap load of community-focused programming and cutting edge music to the shores. In addition to special events and remote broadcasts every week from some coastal hotspot, KX935 is inviting local notables and loyal listeners to party fancy-style with them at their first annual Casino Night fundraising gala. There’ll be booze, kitschy cuisine, roulette wheels and cards, and players with lady luck on their side can win everything from a cabin vacation in Colorado to ukulele lessons. And it’s all tax-deductable, so if you end up sucking on the uke, just smile knowing the feds are footing the bill.
