July 3rd Fireworks Cruise
Skip the all-day campout at the local park just to have the best spot for watching fireworks—instead celebrate July 4th a day early by cruising around Long Beach Harbor in a boat with family and friends, while still enjoying the best part of the holiday. An impressive fireworks display covers the sky at 9 p.m. over Alamitos Bay, and you can have a prime view from Harbor Breeze’s double-deck, 65-foot, 149-passenger sightseeing vessel. The cruise begins in Rainbow Harbor at Dock #2, adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and lasts about two hours. It’s a great way to celebrate our nation’s independence, all the while avoiding crowds—and leaving an entire day for that other staple of American tradition: BBQ.
