Gram Rabbit

Every once in a while, a dull desert is capable of producing sparkling sounds. Such is the case of Joshua Tree-based electro-psych outfit Gram Rabbit. Relying on wobbly synth sounds and pulsating rhythms, the band combine disco with desert hallucinations and a slice of country twang. These are the elements that allow founders Jesika von Rabbit (we’re sure that’s her real name) and Todd Rutherford to appease their cult following with the eclectic aural territory on their latest record, Miracles and Metaphors . At Detroit Bar, every strum, bang and buzz will be loaded with the kind of febrile sensory overload you’d expect from a genre-hopping desert tribe.
