Fifteen Men in a Smoke-Filled Room

Kicking off the start of the 2012/2013 theater season, Long Beach Playhouse hosts a series of eight never-before-seen plays from their New Works Festival finalists. Of the more than 100 scripts submitted from playwrights all over the country, these are the best of the best. Come sit in on one of the staged readings and provide the author with thoughtful feedback. This Sunday, Collin Crowley's Fifteen Men in a Smoke-Filled Room takes the stage. It's the story of Warren G. Harding as he discovers that he is destined (or doomed) to become the Republican presidential nominee—Fifteen Men questions just how much destiny influences our lives and looks at the troubled, destructive role we play in our own fate.
