Earth Week

Earth Day should be an important holiday for everybody—there aren’t many other holidays going on right now, after all, it’s pretty dry from here to Memorial Day—and also because conservation and environmental preservation is something we should always be mindful of, not just on April 22. It’s definitely a big deal for the Discovery Science Center, who are declaring April 18 through the 24 “Earth Week,” filled with a variety of Earth-positive activities. Events include a chance to meet a representative from Southern California Edison—a company full of all sorts of green initiatives—and a talk with a nutritionist to learn what “organic” actually means. Basically, the goal is to cut through the buzzwords and learn practical ways on how to help save the planet, because, y’know, that’s where all of our stuff is.
