Diane Gershuny Benefit Concert

Diane Gershuny is known as the woman behind Long Beach’s Fourth Street stretch and the Art Theatre because of her tireless work as the area’s publicist. Now, the community is coming together to support her as she battles esophageal cancer. Gershuny was diagnosed in July, and although the disease is almost in full remission, she has accrued a batch of hospital and treatment bills not covered by insurance. The benefit concert in her honor includes performances by Long Beach musicians Brophy Dale, Ray Barbee N the Mattson 2, and Cowboy and Indian, as well as a set by DJ Almighty Nectar. Expect a night of rock, rockabilly, alt-jazz and surf music, with all proceeds going toward Gershuny’s medical bills.

Tue., Dec. 21, 7 p.m., 2010
