Danity Kane

Here's some pop culture nostalgia for ya: Remember back in 2008, Diddy was hosting Making the Band on MTV and eventually formed Danity Kane, a five-piece pop group of could-be models, all before the gleaming lenses of relative television cameras? And then, after they actually had some success, he fired two of them (also on television), and our gossip-rag princesses Aubrey O'Day and Wanita “D. Woods” Woodgett had to beg for scraps of fame elsewhere. Well, last winter, the ladies announced a reunion, and soon after, a new song “leaked” online—oops! Four of the five original members are back, perfectly choreographed and coifed, performing in 13 cities on their “No Filter” tour. Yes, they may be glamour dolls manufactured by the pop media machine—but they're also the first female group in Billboard history to release their first two albums at the top of the charts.
