Instead, there’ll be some 900 entrants in the country’s top-ranked and largest cycling event (19 races; $15,000 for the winner of the men’s pro). Expect speeds up to 40 mph and, yes, a couple of crashes. There’ll also be a few hundred kids zooming around in four age divisions and some 12,000 spectators enjoying live music, demos and games, an expo, food vendors and a Marine Corps beer garden.
