Eat. Drink. Shop. Dance. Maybe drink some more. This week, Huntington Beach’s Zimzala hosts Culinary Sound, the restaurant’s bimonthly sensory-overload extravaganza. The night starts with wine tastings and DJ Wally Callerio and guests spinning an array of sounds, then chef Roy Hendrickson creates a specialized menu to match the playlist of the evening. (Care for some fried mushrooms with your trance music? Perfect!) After a few cocktails, guests are invited to peruse the pop-up shop Uth for unique goodies from a variety of retailers. Alcohol and shopping—now that’s a pairing. An optional sit-down dinner follows.
