Leave it to Ripples, Long Beach's most notorious gay club, to come up with a mid-week theme night that makes even the most un-shockable of club hoppers to do a double-take. Case in point: Freshmen 15 Wednesdays, where nubile young college boys are invited to partake in booze, go-go boys, dancing, and karaoke. Perhaps it's the 25-cent beer price that reels them in (with buy-in, of course) or perhaps it's because the “15” in the night's title doesn't imply the amount of weight gained during that first year of school. Oh good lord. This Wednesday is especially fun, however—Ripples kicks off the long-awaited Pride Week with their College Night Pride Party.
