Cinema Italiano: My Brother is an Only Child
Youve got to hand it to the Italiansand Europeans in general. They really have their priorities in line when it comes to their artistic forms of expression. And nowhere is this more evident than in Italian cinema. My Brother is an Only Child, the 2007 film directed by Daniele Luchetti features a notoriously loopy plotline that defies reasonable attempts at a pithy synopsis. All you need to know is the film explores issues involving family, love, politics and life in the seminary. The Bowers Museum will be screening the film this week for a nominal $10 fee. Ahh, European cinema, the perfect reprieve when youve had your fill of the Stathams, Stallones and Schwarzeneggers of the world.
