Few people interested in rock music remember (or are even aware of) that sleazy side of the early years of rock n' roll—Elvis exhibited it for five minutes, while rockabilly crusaders Hasil Adkins, Gene Vincent and long-lost ensembles were swept under the rug before the Las Vegas Grind compilations would give them new life. Enter Bloodshot Bill, a Montreal one-man band who lives and breathes the sleazy, savage rockabilly of his musical forefathers so much you might consider calling an exorcist. From his greasy unkempt hair to his penchant for wearing pajamas and a robe during his shows, he's bizarre, eccentric, and "wild, man, wild!" Since having his five-year US ban lifted in 2011, he's been a bigger musical presence stateside, wowing new fans with his snarling, twangy guitar and growling, spitting vocals. Hail, hail rock n' roll!
