Berlin

It’s pretty impressive how far Berlin have ridden the steam from their 1982 hit record Pleasure Victim, which contained such synth staples as “Sex (I’m A . . .)” and “The Metro.” The album put Berlin front-and-center on the dance/pop map. Add to that a successful sophomore album and a Tom Cruise nod with “Take My Breath Away,” and they were at the top of their game. The group may have split ways in 1987, but they found their way back more than a decade later and released a new album (what’s 14 years between records?), satisfying the appetite of loyal fans and even gaining some new ones. Berlin’s latest musical exploits include venturing into the world of covers (including David Bowie, Marilyn Manson and Prince), but their own classic ‘80s hits are sure to be the highlight of this concert at the Coach House.
