Beneath the Broken Bottles & Cigarette Butts Opening Reception

While the old adage may go something like “one person’s trash is another person’s treasure,” local artist Ryan Clemens has built a wealth of beautifully striking images from the decayed and discarded. Morphing a raw, urban aesthetic into emotion-provoking whimsy, Clemens headlines Rothick Art Haus’ newest exhibit “Beneath the Broken Bottles and Cigarette Butts.” Joining him are artists Danny Schutt and Cody “Mustachio” Lusby (not just a clever nickname, this man has a wicked ‘stache), both masters of mixed media arts. Rounding out the opening reception will be live music provided by DJ James of KXLU, a live art session by Big Toe and tasty Latin/Asian morsels from Dos Chinos gourmet food truck.
Sat., Aug. 14, 7 p.m., 2010
