Art Deco Festival

Back in the 1920s when European design in art and architecture was trés vogue, art deco took the world by storm and showcased a truly modern and sleek look with long lines, geometric angles, and symmetrical patterns. Its influence is still visible in most cities today, and anyone truly obsessed with the style should flock to the Queen Mary's Art Deco Festival which celebrates the vintage aesthetic of the Great Gatsby-era. Organized by the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles, guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite opulent '20s outfit and pretend the whole Great Depression thing never happened, and check out the largest collection of Art Deco objects in the world. Today's itinerary includes a vintage bazaar, art tours, dancing, and drinking— lots of old timey drinking.
