36th Annual Irish Festival

In celebration of those who hail from the twentieth-largest island on Earth, the 36th annual Irish Fair and Music Festival presents the finest Americanized-renditions of every kind of awesomeness from the Emerald Isle. It doesn’t have to be St. Patrick’s Day to get your green beer on, and this huge two-day party at the lush Irvine Lake promises bagpipe bands, the crowning of the Rose of Tralee, hurling (the sport, not the after-party heaves), Irish dance competitions, a harp stage, and a shiteload of kilts, Irish Wolfhounds (they hunt ‘em, not resemble ‘em), sheep herding and music from the likes of the Feninans, Young Dubliners, and California Celts. It’s billed as “Ireland meets the Wild, Wild West,” which we think sounds strangely hot and totally Gaelic, so send pics!
