35th Annual Cairo Caravan

It didn’t happen in Treasure Island, it didn’t happen in the The Pirates of Penzance, and it certainly didn’t happen in any of the Johnny Depp Caribbean flicks—but now the fiction must be righted because what should have happened in all those swashbuckling sagas finally does: belly dancers take over the ship! Specifically, they gyrate their bejeweled navels aboard the Queen Mary for the Cairo Caravan, a three-day festival of exotic vendors, henna artists, Middle Eastern food, belly dancing workshops and, most importantly, a panel of legendary belly dancers from the '60s and '70s. We're digging harem scarem pants out of our treasure chest as we speak.
