Since I retired ~6 years ago, I have been visiting Farmers Markets all over OC. This one is one of the few that I like as much as the one that is closest to where I live, the one in the parking lot of the center across Campus from UCI. And I still think the UCI neighbor is the best in OC.
Best Farmers' Market Orange County 2013 - Old Towne Orange Farmers Market
Palm Ave. and Cypress St.
Orange, CA 92867
Weekend, weekday, morning, afternoon, evening—farmers' markets continue to sprout around OC faster than we can keep up, and that's a wonderful thing. Our pick of the bunch, however, is the Old Towne Orange Farmers Market. Held every Saturday, rain or shine, it has what all great farmers' markets should have: organic fruit, a rainbow of vegetables, free-range eggs, freshly cut flowers, grass-fed beef, more nuts than we can count, gourmet honey—and then there's the prepared items: hummus, artisan breads, flavored olive oils, healthy salad dressings, bundt cakes and more. Maybe it's the free coffee, maybe it's the close proximity to the Orange Circle's barrage of dive bars and antique stores—or maybe it's the occasional banjo player?
