For regular viewers of the evening news in Southern California, Vera Jimenez has become a household name over the years. Even so, few know the KTLA-TV Channel 5 meteorologist actually hails from OC! Jimenez was born in Mexico, but while she was at a young age, her family immigrated to Garden Grove . She graduated from Bolsa Grande High School and stayed local for her higher ed by enrolling in Santa Ana College's excellent broadcast-journalism program. Soon after, the spicy señorita began reporting on SigAlerts and clear lanes for AM/FM radio stations before moving on to standing in front of green screens on TV. In 2009, she finished studying meteorology and became a weathercaster extraordinaire, but she still holds true to her traffic-reporting roots by giving commuters the good, bad and the ugly of Southern California's hopeless rat race.
