Best Happy Hour - 2012
For $20, you can buy a veritable three-course meal, plus a cocktail, at Memphis Cafe's happy hour. From 3 to 6:30 p.m. daily, the sweet, stylish, southern-comfort restaurant and bar offers up its tastiest plates starting at $5 apiece, with cocktails starting at just $4. Here's our game plan: Begin with the Zuni flatbread, topped with sage pesto, corn salsa and pepper jack cheese; followed by the chicken and shrimp gumbo filled with okra, sausage and rice; and then the pulled-pork sliders with house-made barbecue sauce—all topped off with a whiskey sour. Not bad for less than 20 bucks! Sometimes, we get two whiskey sours and a double order of sliders. And sometimes, we just order four whiskey sours and call it a day.
