Pop's Cafe
Pop's Cafe is the kind of no-nonsense, no-frills refresh that we need every so often. Rickety, swiveling, red bar seats and a compact dining area belie the numerable menu offerings. Deep-fried French toast attracts attention, as do pancakes as big as your head and hash browns cooked up in gigantic slabs and served on even-more-gigantic plates—so big, in fact, that sometimes all of the food can't fit on the diminutive dining room's tables. Don't worry if you've got a big party; outdoor seating on the sidewalk comes with a great view of . . . a parking lot, but trust us, you'll be distracted by the landscape of massive portions on your table.
