While the dining section is lovely, the real star of Tantalum is the bar area, which features live music several nights a week that ranges from classic-rock covers to jazz. Choose among an assortment of luxurious couches and chairs, or grab a seat at the 75-foot, mahogany, lit-from-below bar overlooking the docks of Alamitos Bay. Order an Asian pear martini and the most exquisite calamari you've ever had—it really doesn't get any better.
