Readers' Choice: True Food Kitchen

Former Haven Gastropub partner Jeff Hall throws down the gauntlet with Chapter One, a challenge to not only his former colleagues, but also his neighbors at Santa Ana's burgeoning restaurant scene. The bar pours old-man drinks with equal jiggers of expertise and knowledge of the mixological arts. It's also up-to-date on the local beers. Meanwhile, chef Oge Dalken, a culinary raconteur in a city full of them, brings humor and lightness to dishes that are as fun to eat as they are to order. A beef culotte inspires other chefs to do better with bacon-wrapped steaks. And for a dessert called "Milk & Cereal," the breakfast food of our youths is deconstructed and reinterpreted: Panna cotta becomes the milk, and crispy Greek kataifi plays cereal. You have to order it to get the joke and realize that the culinary punch line is as delicious as the setup. $$

Just want to check to see if you went to Chapter One or some evil parallel universe! The restaurant has amazing food, it's comfortable and the people are outstanding to deal with. We've been there many times and have always had great experiences. It is definitely a great asset to the community. Thank you Chapter One!

Even that was not Nike Air Max enough to satisfy Wall Street, with the Air Max Shoes shares falling nearly 5% in after-hours trading. There was some Air Max disappointment with the fourth quarter of the year, when no major new products were released. It is the Air Max Tn first set of results since the death of co-founder Steve Jobs.In the fourth quarter of the year, Apple sold 17.1 million Air Max Plus iPhones, which was a 21% increase on the same period last year, and 11.1 million iPads, which was a 166% increase.

Sorry, this is the BIGGEST crock of s#!t and I love you OC Weekly-THIS YOU HAVE TERRIBLY WRONG.Place sucks and the guys are ego-tripping douches. A friend of mine applied there when they first opened and they were getting applicants booze and basically made a group 30+ ladies stand in a room for 4 hours with only 3 chairs. Their food is full of ego and pretentiousness "modern local" WTF is that? Just ask any GOOD chef in OC and they will say the same thing-they suck. And don't get me on how they insulting businesses on 4th street deal. Community-yeah right.

I admire your courage to post insults and slander under a vail of anonymity and I am sorry your "friend" did not get hired.

Thank you OC Weekly! We are so proud of the award and thank you for the recognition. We have a passion for what we do and we love our guests. We are also proud to have helped raise and donate over $100k to local community groups, projects and citizens, like Gabriel Nunez, The Liver Foundation and countless others in the 7 months we have been open. Giving back to your local community should be at the heart and foundation of every pub or "local" as they are called in other parts of the world. We are happy to serve our community and reciprocate the great way they support us.

Thank you and we look forward to the future.
