What makes the Nail Lounge so good is that everyone there is a little OCD. The place is immaculate, and the nail technicians are sticklers for sanitation, constantly disinfecting tools and using only brand-new, still-sealed nail files and buffers that they later let you take home. With that peace of mind, you can sink into the white chairs decked with neon magenta and orange pillows, listen to whatever sugary pop tune they have playing overhead, and watch your nails get prettified. They offer an insane variety of polish brands to choose from, among them Chanel, OPI, Essie, even the almost-impossible-to-find Shellac no-chip gel, which lasts a minimum of two weeks (many customers say their mani-pedis stay put for four weeks or longer). Services are on the pricey side, ranging from a $22 quickie to a $72 "Aromatic Chocolate Mint Pedicure," though you can get free upgrades on "Mani Monday" and "Tootsie Tuesday."
