Seal Beach

It may appear to be a sleepy beach town, but to residents, Seal Beach is a hotspot for good eats and drinks and has a surprisingly upbeat nightlife scene. And it's finally receiving the credit it's due with foodies, as newer restaurants (320 Main, Beachwood BBQ, Sushi Ryokan) plant roots near the center of town. From Main Street Wine Cellar to the handful of Irish pubs that lines Main Street, the nightlife can go from upscale to wild within a few steps. On the domestic front, Seal Beach caters to all ages, with reasonable rents, as well as family-oriented neighborhoods; it's also home to Leisure World. Plus, there's easy access to Long Beach, Los Alamitos and Huntington Beach. If all of that isn't convincing enough, Seal Beach is only about 15 minutes away from Long Beach Airport, the greatest airport in the world.
