Best Use of the Suffix -Licious In a Restaurant Name - 2010
Sushilicious - CLOSED
Before Daniel Woo opened his restaurant, he asked his young daughter what to name it. The minute she uttered, "Sushi Delicious," Sushilicious was born. The dishes are named with the same childlike frivolity. There's a roll called "Sushicalifragilisticexpialidocious" and another titled "The Roll Formerly Known as California." And that's just a taste of what will make you giggle at this surprisingly well-done revolving sushi bar in Irvine. Your surroundings look like the offspring of a Yogurtland and an Apple Store, with some factory scene from How It's Made spliced in. The place seems custom-made for those who Yelp, Twitter and get in line to get their grubby hands on Steve Job's newest iProduct. In fact, each server is equipped with an iPod Touch on which to take your order. Yes, there's an app for that.
