No one in Orange County kicks it with as many mega-huge names in the entertainment world—and gets paid for it—as Eddie Delbridge. The Tustin Ranch resident's Eddie Delbridge Productions Inc. is an independent company that produces the biggest red-carpet broadcasts for the E! Network. Basically, if you see Ryan Seacrest or Joan Rivers hosting a red-carpet event before the Academy Awards, the Grammys, the Golden Globes or Emmys, Delbridge is the guy behind the scenes supervising the efforts of a 150- to 200-person crew. His productions are a logical outgrowth of what he has spent most of the past 15 years doing: producing live television broadcasts. He has worked on everything from live morning- and afternoon-news shows—including the now-defunct Orange County News Channel's first morning-news show—to live broadcasts from Comic-Con and the telecasts of 2007's Live Earth and the 2010 Hooters Swimsuit Pageant. While not everything Delbridge touches is great art, he's making a great living indulging our celebrity-gawking guilty pleasures.
