This place is awesome! I have never had a bad experience, and when it gets too hot the teachers open the windows. HELLO ITS CALLED HOT YOGA FOR A REASON!!!! If you cant handle the heat then stay home, and do your lame workout videos. I have also lost 10lbs already doing hot yoga, AND my circulation is now completely better thanks to this place! One negative note. If you go DO NOT take Savanahs class shes a bitch! Sadie, Xana, Andrea, Erica, and Stephanie are the other teachers I have had and they rock!
WORST YOGA STUDIO ON EARTH WOULD BE THE PROPER AWARD!!!!
I was a student for a year here and had the most unpleasant experience of my 10 years working out. I agree with everyone in that this yoga studio, HUNTINGTON BEACH HOT YOGA is dangerous.
I lost 2 days of work to a minor heat stroke, told them about it and I was told "HOT YOGA IS NOT FOR YOU PLEASE DONT COME BACK, that I was not going to be allowed to return and that he (JASON THE OWNER) was going to keep the balance of my payment (2 months @80 a month) and he would not refund it.
The owner is a J**K, the business is a joke & a rip off and someone is really going to get hurt....
I was a student at this studio for a few years. Practiced consistently until I realized the heat was getting to me. It is not safe to exercise in this environment every day or just a few times a week like I did. I would have to always time my eating so that I won't vomit during class due to the heat stress. When their heating system changed earlier in 2009, it made things so much worse and the owner ignored complaints for the longest time from students and the teachers he employed. I heard it's better now with a 3rd heating system installed, however, if he's still keeping it at over 110 deg. F, I will stay away. Trust me, you are not doing your body any favors with this treatment. I have since switch over to room temp/85 deg. yoga and am feeling all the benefits that yoga should bring. This studio does not deserve this award.
I was a teacher at this place, the owner has just made a copy of the Bikram method. I paid a ton of money for something that does me no good now.
The other person mentions poor attitude. The owner runs the place like it is his own personal frat house, kinda sad really.
He installed a new heater and the studio became a dangrous place, people would complain and his attitude was so poor that I had to leave. I do not want to be held accountable if someone is really hurt as a result of his attitude. Be careful is right!
This studio is unprofessional and poorly managed. The heater is so unbalanced that the temp can run up so high that you get sick, as I saw many times during class. The owner has a high turnover of teachers and the training that each gets seems to be really poor as each teacher I had was unprofessional and seemed dis intrested. Be careful about this place
