Yes, the food here is expensive, and yes, the drive up is kind of steep. And no, you are not allowed to park your own car. But the view makes it worth the experience. Settled on a hill above the city of Orange, Orange Hill Restaurant offers one of the highest views of Orange County, and they know it, too. On particularly clear nights, you can see all the way to Catalina Island. Head here during sunset or nightfall, hand your car key to the valet, head straight out to the fire pits on the terrace, and enjoy. You don't necessarily have to order anything—but maybe have a drink and take in the city lights and the starry sky unencumbered by smog. Stay until around 9:30 p.m., when you can see Disneyland's fireworks show for free. Highly recommended for romantic dates and other enchanted evenings.
