What this store lacks in space, it makes up for in, oddly enough, books. The books outside are tawdy romances being sold for a dollar. Inside are narrow shelves crammed with books on every rung, with books in front of books at some spots, so you might have to move some books to see what other books are in the offering. There are random stacks of books on the floor. So, yeah, a lot of books—from airport novels to cookbooks to genuine literature. Where else can you find Mary Wollstonecraft's A Vindication of the Rights of Woman about 2 feet away from a Star Jones autobiography? There's an intriguingly geeky bent to A Castle of Books, with comic books, anime DVDs and action figures for sale alongside used board games and jigsaw puzzles.
