Gather 'round, folks and witness heavy-hitting club rap for hip-hop's new Day-Glo generation. Don't be alarmed; we know that watching a sweaty white kid screaming ferocious rhymes from between a leggy, blond backup dancer and a mohawk-sporting hype man isn't something you see every day. Which is exactly why Irvine-based trio BLOK are so special. Armed with white-rimmed glasses, a sharp-toothed grimace and rapid-fire cadence, lead vocalist Damien B spews carefully constructed verses with one foot on the dance floor and the other in the underground. Joined onstage by background dancers/vocalists Gianna Gianna and Jesse St. John, the group generate a hard-to-describe energy. But you'll love it. A cocktail of mechanical rhythms, M.I.A. swagger and suburban angst, BLOK's sound delivers a deft roundhouse kick to the face of the typical hip-hop aesthetic.

We appreciate the kind words. However there is no reason to bag on other groups. BLOK is awesome and we're stoked they're doing well. To the peeps askin about merch; We do have shirts, bottons and cd's. They will be availible really soon at our cd release show which is TBA at this point. We're just deciding on where we wanna do it. So just keep checkin our myspace for updates, Our Music video is just about done and we just put a couple songs up off the new "teaser/demo" thing so go listen!

this is the only thing that pops up when you google project party mouth besides their myspace info and it's not even for them :(. Does anyone know if they have a website where I can buy a shirt or cd? My boyfriend plays the myspace stuff constantly he can't download it so we're stuck listening on the computer and i don't know why i just went into that much detail. anyways, if anyone knows something i don't lemme know!

Nah dude BLOK is fucking embarrassing! The dude has his 16 year old sister shakin her cameltoe around like a maniac. PPM is dope and hella original. I saw both these groups together randomly at Sutra and the party mouth kids brought like over a hundred fans that knew there lyrics and there were about 7 people there for BLOK. Yes the BLOCK dude can rap but i agree all there songs run together. PPM is just an all out better club performance and sound. My girlfriends friends boyfriend knows one of the party mouth guys and I heard they do it as a joke because its so easy lol PPM is totally the best local rap group in the club scene.
project party mouth!? are you kidding!? they are literally embarrassing and unbearable to watch. BLOK is awesome! really original with an organic gritty sound you don't hear around here often. they remind me of grime music in the u.k. like Dizzee Rascal, etc. i caught them at their residencey over at avalon bar a few mondays ago and they blew my mind! good choice oc weekly. i salute you.
The guy can rap for sure, but the music all sounds the same. There are not too many GOOD performances where it's actually intertaining to watch as far as hip hop goes. You need to check out "Project Party Mouth". It's a comedy hip hop group with awsome dance friendly music that I heard they write and produce themselves with out using samples which is hard to find. I saw em at Sutra once on accident then I went to see em at Shore in Long Beach. Awsome show, but if you can't take a joke I wouldn't even bother.
