Pastagina

While Yogurtland and Pinkberry duke it out for OC frozen-yogurt supremacy, a little-known pasta joint in Irvine has quietly begun doling out its own fro-yo. Pastagina is a treat—tart, but not too tart; sweet, but not too sweet, with just the right amount of creaminess. And when you order one ($1.50-$2.50), they'll adorn it with your toppings of choice like it was some sort of cake. Best part: no lines full of teenagers, no marketing hype, and no cutesy-pie interior design. Who needs all that when eating frozen yogurt is already emasculating enough?

We drove all the way there only to find they really aren't serving the frozen yogurt anymore. They only had one flavor (plain) and raisins as topping. So much for the best.
