People in Orange County know all about Vietnamese-Cajun seafood restaurants, but that doesn't mean they're all the same (though Kickin' Crab and Boiling Crab have come close to each other). But Shackie's Seafood and Oysters Bar—formerly known as Seafood Shack—is distinctive: Instead of the hot, oily sauces served at other restaurants, the one at Shackie's is sweet, butterier and has way more garlic. The seafood is served differently, too: Instead of getting your seafood in a plastic bag, a waiter brings the seafood to your table, dumps it in a silver bowl and mixes it up for you.
