If anything is better than a good ol' fashioned zombie movie, it's two—and leave it to the Art Theatre to give us a double feature of the undead. But this event has a local twist—starting the night off is a preview of Dead Meat Walking: A Zombie Documentary, Omar J. Pineda's film featuring different cities' zombie walks, pub crawls, burlesque shows (awesome), including footage of the past two years' Long Beach Zombie Walks. After the film, Pineda sits down for a Q&A session about his experiences filming zombies across the country. And for the finale, the Art proudly screens George A. Romero's 1968 masterpiece Night of the Living Dead—a film as crucial to the Halloween season as It's a Wonderful Life is to Christmas. It's an epically gruesome, brain-crunchingly good time.
