Toad the Wet Sprocket

Dust off your Doc Martens, Toad The Wet Sprocket swings by the Observatory during their current nationwide tour. The '90s alt-rockers penned some of the decade’s most memorable tunes including “Walk on the Ocean” and “Something’s Always Wrong,” blending pop-leaning melodies with angsty sing-along lyrics. After nearly ten years of relative mainstream success, the group disbanded in 1998, only to reunite in 2006 with a series of intimate shows. Riding the momentum of the unexpected success of their club gigs, the California natives decided to make a new record. Via Kickstarter, they raised more than $250K to finance the upcoming album, New Constellation, due out in September. Reinvigorated and inspired by the outpouring of fan support, Toad The Wet Sprocket might just turn '90s nostalgia into present day relevance.
