“Pop!” goes the music played by Inland Empire band The Kyms, who also incorporate a bit of alt rock, blues and ska into their indie rock sound. Anchoring all of those elements together is Chrisol Lomeli's sexy vocals, bouncing off funky basslines and electrifying guitar. Just on the cusp of releasing an EP, The Kyms have been appearing all over SoCal from the House of Blues to Whiskey a Go-Go and playing their blend of high energy indie rock all along the way. No strangers to Orange County, this group plays tonight at Proof Bar along with Iris and Mini Bear.
