Some Like It Hot

"We were in mid-flight, and there was a nut on the plane," said director Billy Wilder, referencing the face-palm difficulties his problematic star Marilyn Monroe caused during the filming of Some Like It Hot. How many times would it take for the bombshell to get a three-word line like "Where's the bourbon?" straight? As many as 59 takes with the aid of cue cards taped to set props. But none the less, the cross-dressing, musical comedy also starring Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon became one of the greatest comedies of all time—and is considered some of Monroe's most enjoyable work. Don't miss this timeless classic as it graces the big screen once again at the Regency.
