Dr. Seuss was our kinda guy. Busted for hosting a gin party in his room at Dartmouth in the '20s, Theodor Geisel was banned from all extracurricular activities, including writing for the college humor magazine. He adopted (and later adapted) his middle name as his nom de plume, and the rest is publishing and show biz history—46 children’s books/movies/Broadway shows/four TV series/a zillion enchanted readers. Seussical is a magical, musical extravaganza for ages 6 and up, and covers the bases splendidly—Green Eggs and Ham, The Cat in the Hat, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Horton Hears a Who! and many more. Rx for a post-show libation? What else but a G&T?
