We once knew a dog who could sing “Happy Birthday” (true story). And though that pooch is sadly no longer with us, other such talented pups will gather at the SoCal Animal Response Team (SCART) 8th Annual Pet Fair in the Park where, new this year, they host an animal talent contest. And unless judges consider a cat licking his ass a talent, this will probably be a mostly canine event. Held at the waterfront Marine Stadium Park, the festival also features low-cost dog and cat vaccinations, micro-chipping, disaster information vendors, and plenty of food (for both pets and people). All proceeds go directly to SCART to keep them educating the public about animal safety and responding to pet emergencies.
